Norwegian Centre for Violence and Traumatic Stress Studies
Siri Thoresen is a clinical psychologist, a research professor at the Norwegian Center for Violence and Traumatic Stress Studies, and a professor at Institute of Psychology, University of Oslo, Norway. She is associate editor of European Journal of Psychotraumatology and has served many years on the ESTSS board. Her research focuses on human adaptation to extreme stress, including disasters, terror, interpersonal violence and sexual abuse. She has a particular interest in the importance of social relationships and trust in recovery processes from trauma.
